ITALIAN CRAFTSMANSHIP

It took 4 Italian factories and over a year of trials and errors to bring to life the ...Je te Veux Bag. "Je te Veux" in french means I want you...
hence the name of the bag, it was so long awaited, and I absolutely wanted it.

This iconic design requires exceptional craftsmanship and skill.
Made out of no fewer than seventy-eight separate pieces of leather and reinforcement. The structure of a ...Je te Veux bag is based on its highly crafted structure. Entirely made by a master artisan in Scandicci, outside Florence, the hub of Italian leather-goods manufacturing, each piece is handled with the highest level of finishing.

Behind the uncompromising excellence of the craftsmanship of a Nada Sawaya handbag lies the exquisite quality of its creations.

CELEBRATING OUR ARTISANS

Nada Sawaya bags are a labor of love.

Our laser-focused artisans use their magic to bring Nada Sawaya’s designs to life, backed by 15 years of expertise in handbag creation.

“Ten bags may be the same shape, but since they are all made by hand, they are each unique.”

The result, we think you’ll agree, is jaw-droppingly gorgeous.

A special thanks to Elizabetta, Gianna, Cora, Tina, Ale, Costa, and all the rest of the team for making the Je te Veux bag. We never speak enough about you, the ones that are really behind our exquisitely made products.

A DAY AT THE FACTORY

MEET COSTANTINO

It all starts with him.

Costa, for the ones that knows him well, is the expert in cutting the leather. He excels in minimizing the waste, making sure that no defect is being included when the panels are cut...

He has over 15 years of expertise and it shows.

LEARN FROM THE MASTER

MEET CORA

Cora is Costa's sister.

Her speciality is skiving and trimming the edges of the leather, a process used to reduce the thickness of the leather especially in areas that are to be bent or folded and which must be pliable without becoming weakened.

Her hands are so agile, she masters the movement to perfection, she does it with such ease, she's incredible.

CORA'S MAGIC HANDS

MEET TINA

Her hand has the delicacy of a feather and her eyes sharp as the eagle eyes.
She always makes sure that that at no time the paint will overflow and the result is perfectly hand painted color edge.

THE FOCUSED EYES

MEET ELIZABETTA

Elizabetta is the true artisan.

She spent her whole life making handbags for Fendi, Versace, Givenchy just to name a few.
From basics to extremely intricate, she definitely knows what she is talking about.

And the proof is with the Je te Veux bag..

THE EXPERT

MEET ALESSANDRO

Ale for the close friends, is the other maestro. He is in charge of all the new developments.

Without Ale's touch, I believe that the Je te Veux bag would never have seen the light of day, it was him who developed the prototype by making certain modifications compared to my initial design.

Yes, sometimes drawing and prototypes do not sit well together, and you have to make compromises. But I can say that for once, it was worth it.

Dare to take Alessandro's ruler, I would have warned you ...

ALE THE MAESTRO

MEET GIANNA

Gianna, like Elizabetta, she calls the factory her home. She has spent so much and so much time sewing the most coveted bags on the planet.

However, she admits that the Je te Veux bag, was not an easy task, see for yourself.
